Winning Blackjack - The Development of Basic Strategy and Card Counting

Mathematicians realized early on that blackjack was different from other casino games. The hands dealt to the player and the dealer were not independent but depended on the cards already dealt. For example, in single deck blackjack, if the player is dealt two threes then the odds of the dealer drawing a three go down dramatically. Contrast that to craps. In craps if the shooter tosses two sixes that doesn't affect the probability of throwing two sixes again on the very next roll. In craps, while you may lose on any number (i.e. a pair, three, or twelve), in blackjack you will lose if the dealer draws a number higher than your number. Additionally, an Ace (A) can be either high or low in blackjack, which further complicates the game. Developing a basic blackjack card counting strategy was easy. You had to keep track of the cards on the table; when you knew that the player had received 12 cards, you could raise your bet by 1. The casinos were smart and after a while, most casinos began placing an edge on the players. This was predicted. How? Suppose you toss a $5 chip to the middle and plop down a $5 bet square in the center. The shooter then tosses a $5 chip, again to the middle. You count on the $5 chip to eventually be a winner. That is, you predict it will eventually win. The odds say it won't, but you are going to win $5 more than you bet, so you continue to bet $5. What casino will have the best edge on that $5 bet? The Casinos that offer the greatest house edge! That's the reason why casinos are so profitable. They have-$5 bet restrictions. A typical multiplayer game will have the dealer turn over one of the decks for the session. Suppose the shooter rolls a 4. Obviously, the shooter is not going to roll repeated 4's, so the odds say that whenever a 4 is rolled, the shooter is going to roll a 7 before rolling a 4. Likewise, whenever a 5 is rolled, the shooter is not going to roll a 6 before rolling a 5. The odds say that a 5 is not going to roll until either the shooter rolls a 12 (24%) or until a 7 (48%). In addition, a point is established whenever the shooter rolls a point number. Whenever a 7 is rolled, a point is established and the odds are in the casino's favor that the next roll will be a 7. The casino's edge is 2.70%. That means they have an advantage of 2.70% on every $100 bet. In regards to the correct strategy, you want to eliminate the houses edge in blackjack. If you take the time to learn the basic strategy, you will have a competitive edge. Once you understand and practice the basic strategy, you will be profitable. Some online casinos will let you play blackjack for free. These casinos are willing to let you try out their blackjack software and slots games, which are the two most profitable games. Online casinos are also much better than Vegas casinos in several other ways. For one thing, you don't have to drive to Vegas to play blackjack for real money. You can play online at home, and play for free. Also, the minimum bet is much less. So if you are a $5 a game player, you can play at one online casino, and play for free. Online gambling allows you to play blackjack for free, and play higher limit blackjack for much less money than if you had driven to Vegas to do so. You can also play in much more numerous casinos without ever having to leave your home again. If you have children with smart phones, it is sometimes very easy to play blackjack for free plus take a picture of your children, which they are allowed to do in public. Lastly, online blackjack has a secure option for depositing funds. You can send money to your secure online account using your credit cards or any other online means, such as Portland Market Mobile Chargers. You can even use them at the pub or pool hall!
