Right now, you know that Red Bull is one of the most popular beer brands in the world, especially in the United States. They've been around for quite some time and just saw a brand new building. While there is nothing wrong with a little Red Bull, we knew we wanted to have a little fun with them and some other great company. Good thing is we found two. Oddly enough, we found them on the same floor we found a couple of Americas Casinos and we couldn't help having a little fun with them one after another. Any way Atlantic City is a waterside, but we're from New Jersey so it kind of cuts the cake, right? However, during this time period it was the Monday night poker tournament that we enjoyed the most. It's hard to believe we're old, but we used to play high stakes poker every weekend. Yes, we used to get up to $100K+ when we were young. That's a pretty wild progression, if you don't mind the stiff competition. Anyone that has read a book or two knows what we're talking about. The good news is that we used to be really good. However, we haven't had as much luck in the new poker years. The new competition has been stiff, and after some research, we think the reason is because most of the players online are experienced. The good news is that most of the players online are very good. This doesn't sound like much of a surprise to us since the ones we were beating used to be pretty easy to beat too.

However, there's a bit of a different story from the results of the new poker tournament. We decided to give it a try for the $1,000. The first thing we noticed was how many stars were in the room. There were a lot of new faces in the game that we never played with before. In that sense, it makes for a better learning atmosphere. Especially since we're not used to having a lot of new faces in our game. After we were situated in our seats andmobiAfter we were seated at the table, Chris Moneymaker made a comment to the room. We already knew each other's game so we were already on base with our styles. Moneymaker was being called a lot by people and the same people seemed to be coming back over and over. Every time someone would lose they would come back and continue to come back. It appeared that they were not just the ones with shiny new toys. While we didn't do very well in the beginning, we did end up coming away with a nice win on the river. However, that doesn't make the battle less important than the fact that we had to fight tooth and nail to even get to the final table. The third event was the final table, and everyone was just hanging on. Even Moneymaker who had a bad beat and was struggling the entire tournament to come back and win. He ended up making a comment to the table that we were being very aggressive, which was bank against for a reason. We took our Free Card and made a play on the Turn and River, only to have Young show one of hisStars the turn. Granted, it wasn't anything major, but it's always nice to get a break when you need it. We ended up taking a few minutes to sort out our thoughts, which allowed us to formulate some of our press release notes.

The Aftermath

Overall, it was a good weekend for us. We got to go to Two has the Horseshoe and Daniel enjoyed a nice time at the tables. Detroit had his first pro win and it was a fun night. We got to speak to some new friends and seePTodds of players who normally wouldn't be.
